Key Responsibilities

The Rover's duties encompass, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. Conducting regular security patrols.
  2. Offering customer service assistance.
  3. Providing support for last-minute staffing needs.
  4. Ensuring the safety and security of property, individuals, and sites.
  5. Supervising and managing team members during assigned shifts.
  6. Maintaining a professional rapport with clients at designated locations.
  7. Retrieving necessary documentation and materials from various sites.
  8. Assisting with the initiation of new contracts.
  9. Supporting Regional Managers with various administrative tasks.
  10. Replacing any Officer immediately for reasons detrimental to the client or company, or in violation of policies.
  11. Notifying the Project Manager promptly if:
  • A Security Officer is absent.
  • A Security Officer fails to fulfill their responsibilities.
  • A Security Officer is suspected of impairment.
  • Any other issue that may harm the client or company.
Administering corrective actions in accordance with company policies as required.Exhibiting flexibility across Maryland, DC, and VA, particularly in Baltimore County/City, Harford County, Anne Arundel County, and Prince Georges County.

Administrative Functions

  1. Providing administrative support to Regional Managers.
  2. Submitting daily reports on inspections, incidents, and corrective actions.
  3. Collecting and reviewing log-in and out sheets.
  4. Inputting time into the company’s timekeeping system as needed.

Qualifications

  1. Must be at least 21 years old.
  2. Must possess or be eligible for required training as determined by Regional Managers.
  3. Minimum of three years of experience in security.
  4. At least one year of supervisory experience is required.
  5. Must hold a valid driver's license and maintain a good driving record.
  6. Must pass initial and ongoing drug testing.
  7. Must consent to initial and recurring criminal background checks.
  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, is essential.
  9. Must adhere to the company's Fitness for Duty policy.

Training Requirements

The Rover is required to complete and maintain initial and ongoing training, including but not limited to:

  1. CPR and First Aid certification.
  2. All security-related training for unarmed and armed guards.
  3. Training for Security Supervisors and Managers.
  4. De-escalation techniques and managing difficult customers.
  5. EEO training covering inclusion, diversity, and harassment.
  6. Any additional training mandated by the Director of Human Resources.
