Adolescent Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Adolescent Support Counselor to join our team at Leidos Military & Veterans Health Solutions Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing a community-based adolescent support and counseling program for the dependents of U.S. Service members at U.S. Military installations in the Pacific Rim.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a community-based adolescent substance abuse prevention and treatment program
- Interface and network with military branches and the community to identify adolescents in need of services
- Support family quality of life by offering individual, group, and family counseling
- Intake, screening, assessment, and management of case load
- Provide AOD training and specialized education on a variety of topics
- Treatment planning, discharge, records management, and continuing care planning for caseload
- Participation in quality assurance
- Case record management and documentation
- Securing and maintaining written referral agreements with all community agencies and briefing referral agencies about the ASACS program
- Master's degree from an accredited university (Council of Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) accredited)
- Valid State Clinical License – LCSW at the independent level OR Ph.D/Psy.D. Clinical Psychologist
- Two (2+) years of supervised post-graduate counseling experience working with an adolescent population
- Two (2+) years of experience in treatment of adolescent substance abuse
- The possession of or eligibility for a state or national alcohol and drug counseling (AOD) certification
- Candidates must be creative and skilled in prevention education, community referral agreements, and program marketing
- Possess intermediate competency with word processing, using simple databases/email systems, and managing files electronically
- Must hold a current US driver's license and be eligible to obtain a US military ID card, credentialing at military hospital, and approval by client
- Acquire favorable results on Federal Background Investigation
- Knowledge of risk management and program development experience is a plus
