Pharmacy Technician Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our Ambulatory Pharmacy team at AmerisourceBergen Services Corporation. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the highest level of patient care and regulatory adherence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Retrieve and prepare medication for pharmacist review and verification
  • Enter new patient prescription information into the pharmacy information system
  • Address insurance, reimbursement, and payment issues with insurance providers, patients, and pharmacists
  • Participate in achieving business goals and metrics for the Ambulatory Pharmacy
  • Assist with reviews and handling of adjudicated prescription claims
  • Supply and monitor ambulatory dispensing robotic technology
  • Deliver medications and pharmaceutical supplies to patients as outlined by the concierge prescription program
Requirements:
  • Minimum of two (2) years directly related and progressively responsible ambulatory pharmacy experience
  • Pharmacy technician certification with a national technical certification organization, such as Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or other comparable national certification
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately under time and volume constraints
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to resolve patient issues quickly and creatively
