The Role:

The Construction Estimator will be responsible for producing precise cost estimates across various construction projects. This position requires a solid understanding of construction materials, labor, and processes, as well as an ability to interpret blueprints and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates by analyzing project plans and specifications.
  • Identify material, labor, and equipment requirements for projects.
  • Research and verify costs to ensure competitiveness in bids.
  • Collaborate with project teams, including engineers and architects, to align estimates with project goals.
  • Source bids from subcontractors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing.
  • Provide value engineering recommendations to enhance cost-effectiveness without sacrificing quality.
  • Monitor and report on project cost trends, flagging potential savings or overruns.
  • Present estimates to clients with a professional and transparent approach.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Proven experience as a Construction Estimator or a similar role within the construction industry.
  • A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Expertise in construction methods, materials, and equipment.
  • Proficiency in using estimating software (ProEst, PlanSwift, Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical skills and a high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
  • Familiarity with blueprints and technical drawings.
