Responsibilities
  • Assist in food preparation and service, including meal planning, food handling, and presentation.
  • Maintain clean and sanitary conditions in the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to established health and safety protocols.
  • Follow verbal and written instructions, and communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers, and community staff.
  • Work collaboratively with the Food Service Director and Cook to ensure seamless food service operations.
  • Meet and remain current with state-specific requirements for food handler training.
Requirements
  • Must be currently enrolled in a high school program or have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of the fundamentals of food safety and sanitation is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate in English and possess good interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with supervisors, co-workers, and community staff in the performance of duties.
  • Ability to observe proper safety and sanitary techniques.
