Retail Manager, Hospital Food Service

Salary $60,000.00Retail Manager, Healthcare Food Service The Retail Manager manages the day-to-day operations of a retail environment to create a profitable cafe where hard-working hospital staff and families of patients can take a break and enjoy a nice meal. Lead a goal-oriented retail food service department to create a team environment that is effective, productive, and rewarding. Responsibilities Manage the cafe retail area to provide excellent customer service and support revenue growthProvide leadership that supports a team environment that fosters morale, passion, quality, and respectDevelop and monitor evaluation processes for customer satisfactionDemonstrate continuous ability to maintain and/or improve customer satisfaction through communication, integrity, and performanceLead retail team member recruiting, training, development, scheduling, and assignmentsPerform daily inspections and assessments and coach and counsel team membersManage and monitor all department sales and costsSkillsInterpersonal Skills: Ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organizationCommunication: Effective written, spoken, and non-verbal communication as well as presentation skillsCustomer Service: Service-oriented mentality with a focus on exceeding expectationsProfessionalism: Maintain a positive and professional demeanor Proactivity: Self-motivated with the ability to effectively prioritize projects and needsTeam Player: Willingness to collaborate and provide support where needed to achieve outcomesBusiness Ethics: Demonstrate integrity, respect, and discretion in all business dealingsOrganization: Attention to detail and ability to effectively manage tasks in a fast-paced environmentRequirementsMinimum associate’s degree; bachelor’s degree preferred5+ years of retail food experience in quick-serve restaurants, supermarket merchandising, or fine dining3+ years of managementExperience with cash handling policies and proceduresFamiliarity with various point of sales (POS)/register systems Knowledge of hospital food service operationsComputer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and ordering platformsMust be willing to relocate for promotion opportunitiesNot Required But a Big PlusProficiency in languages other than English, especially SpanishCertified Dietary Manager (CDM), or willingness to obtain certification within 18 monthsWhat We OfferPaid time off (vacation and sick)Medical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with employer matchEmployee assistance program (EAP)Employee resource groups (ERGs)Career development and ongoing trainingImportant to KnowMany healthcare facilities require employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved exemption in place. Veterans and candidates with military experience are encouraged to apply.HHS is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer committed to workplace diversity and inclusion. Who is HHSHHS is a private, family-owned business dedicated to caring for its team members and providing honest, quality-driven customer service.
