Our client is a fast-paced and patient-centered healthcare provider dedicated to delivering high-quality emergency and urgent care services. Their emergency department is equipped to handle a wide variety of medical situations, offering both immediate care and life-saving interventions. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Medicine Physician (MD) to join their team.

The Emergency Medicine Physician will be responsible for providing acute care to patients in an emergency room (ER) setting. This role requires prior experience working in urgent care or emergency room environments, with the ability to quickly assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of medical conditions. The ideal candidate is comfortable making critical decisions in high-pressure situations, has excellent bedside manner, and works well within a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care to patients in the emergency department, including diagnosing and treating a variety of acute and life-threatening conditions
  • Triage and prioritize patient care based on severity of illness or injury
  • Perform emergency medical procedures such as intubation, central line placement, chest tube insertion, and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS)
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work, X-rays, and CT scans, to guide patient treatment
  • Collaborate with nurses, physician assistants, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Stabilize patients for transfer to specialized care when necessary
  • Document patient encounters and care accurately in electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families, explaining diagnoses, treatments, and next steps in care
  • Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives within the emergency department
  • Stay current on best practices and new developments in emergency medicine
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to residents, medical students, or mid-level providers as needed

Requirements:

  • Medical Doctor (MD) required
  • Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine
  • Valid medical license to practice in NY
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an urgent care or emergency room setting
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical skills in emergency situations
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in fast-paced environments
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems


Please note- The annual base salary range is $150/hr to $200/hr. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
