OBGYN opening: La Grande, Oregon Position Details - Full-time, permanent- Hospital employed- Four 10hr days/week- Join a team of 2 full-time physicians and 2 NPs + experienced nursing staff in clinic and Family Birthing Center- 1:3 call- New grads welcome Facility Information- # Of ORs: 3, +Cysto, + Endoscopy Suite- Deliveries per year: approx. 250- Level 1 well newborn nursery, only weeks, no NICU- Certified lactation consultant services offered in the Family Birthing Center- Dedicated Family Birthing Center with certified lactation consultant services Clinic Info - Clinic exam rooms: 11- Procedure Room: 1- Non-stress testing room: 1- Ultrasound machines: 2- Pt. seen per day: 13-17 per day- For providers averaging 15+ patients per day who intend to continue to increase their capacity, a scribe can be provided- Support staffing: 1:1 clinic support staff Additional Details - Growing and expanding Critical Access Hospital- Currently building a 96,000 sq. ft addition that includes a new OR suite, housing 5 new ORs, 2 endoscopy suites (which can flex to 2 additional ORs), 15 pre-post-op rooms, and 7 PACUs- Four 10-hour days per week- Local University with Athletics Program- Clinic located immediately adjacent to the main hospital in the Regional Medical Plaza featuring on-site x-ray suite with 1:1 medical support staffing.- Epic EMR Compensation - 490K+- RVU production bonus opportunity based on annual threshold- Quality incentives up to $130,000 annually- Commencement bonus of $40,000- $8,000 annual CME, licensing, dues, subscription + paid CME time- Student loan assistance- Comprehensive benefits including a 401k match- Paid malpractice Ideal Candidate - Fit is very important. The group is an independent hospital that has enjoyed great success. So a strong team player, some who has ties to the region would certainly be a plus as well as someone who is comfortable in a small town.- Hospital has signed 40 providers in the past 3 years and had tremendous recruitment success. Other specialties include: - Cardiology, ENT, Ortho, Podiatry, Urology, Nephrology, Ophthalmology, Ob/Gyn, Peds, and a robust panel of primary care providers. About the Hospital: - 501(c)3 Not-for Profit- Group employs more than 700 people, all dedicated to providing quality health care services. - Includes a community hospital and 13 primary and specialty clinics.- As Union Countys largest private employer, more than 750 people comprise the Group team all dedicated to providing quality health care services to the region. - Health Group serves a base population of about 25,000 residents, while also providing care for many in the Eastern Oregon and Southeast Washington area. - With an employed provider staff of 80, we continue to recruit world-class professionals. - Four of our 13 clinics are well-established, certified Primary Care Medical Homes- In 2020 the Group opened an Urgent Care facility right outside of the county seat of La Grande, where the remainder of its clinics are located. Location - Located in Northeast Oregon, La Grande is nestled within the mountain ranges that dominate our landscape Blue Mountains to the west and Eagle Caps to the southeast. - These mountains surround the Grande Ronde Valley, the second largest enclosed valley in the world and home to the Group since 1907. - Needless to say, we enjoy a diverse and rich outdoor lifestyle.- With a four-season climate, Union County is home to many outdoor activities and sports year round. - Summer and spring offer opportunities for all styles of fishing; as well as kayaking and swimming, camping, bird watching, hiking, four-wheeling and trail-riding on mountain bike or horseback. - The Mount Emily Recreation Area (MERA) is just two miles from La Grande, providing nearly 3,700 acres of year-round access to the Blue Mountains. - In winter, MERA is popular spot for back-country skiing and snow-shoeing. - Union County is home to Eastern Oregon University, founded in 1929, and also home to the OHSU School of Nursing on-campus program. Oregon Tax Credit: The State of Oregon offers an income tax credit of 5,000 for physicians practicing in La Grande, which is equivalent to earning another estimated 9,930 in base salary not reflected in the numbers above. The Credit is applied to Oregon taxes before FICA tax and the estimate is based on tax brackets of 9% for State, 33% for Federal, 1.45% for Medicare and 6.2% for FICA.
