The Security Token Service (STS) team at Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Software Development Engineer II to build, deliver, and maintain complex products that delight our customers and raise our performance bar. You’ll design fault-tolerant systems that run at massive scale as we continue to innovate best-in-class services and applications in the AWS Cloud. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience- 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience- Experience programming with at least one software programming languagePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- 4+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent- Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence- Demonstrated ability to achieve goals in a highly innovative and fast paced environment.Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
