We are seeking a Business Development Representative to identify and develop new business opportunities and increase market share with new and existing customers. You will also identify growth markets, research business requirements, and develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan to capture market share with newly identified and existing customers. The ideal candidate would have experience selling industrial instrumentation and control systems.



* Establish strong networking relationships with key decision makers at multiple levels and departments of target customers, industry organizations, and key business partners

* Consult with leaders, project participants, and customers while working with a variety of complex multilevel interactions

* Build a sales pipeline sufficient to capture annual top line growth target

* Develop and maintain awareness of trends within the industry

* Attend sales, trade, and product learning meetings 

* Define sales potential, prepare budgets, maintain sales tracking and other administrative reporting required

* Provide technical presentations to multiple levels of decision makers and product installation training to a range of audiences

* Utilize CRM software as the primary tool to manage daily sales activities (including pre-call plans, detailed contact management, quotations, communications/email tracking, project management, etc.)


*Business Development Representative Qualifications*



* Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field or comparable work experience

* 3 years of experience in B2B sales in large CapEx projects 

* Technical and/or project sales for industrial instrumentation and control systems, battery processing plants, and/or wastewater treatment plants preferred

* Mechanical proficiency with exposure to construction sites, engineering, and architectural firms preferred

* Experience utilizing CRM systems; SugarCRM or Salesforce preferred

* Proficiency in Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
