Empower is seeking an Android Mobile Engineer who will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining mobile applications. You will play a crucial role in the entire Android development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to deployment, and ongoing support. 

 
WHAT YOU WILL DO: 

  • Develop rich, interactive customer experiences for deployment on Android devices utilizing data visualizations to implement real-time financial information optimized for the mobile environment.  

  • Collaborate with senior engineers to design, develop and maintain software applications ensuring code quality, performance, and scalability. 

  • Effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical team members including Business Analysts, Subject matter/Domain experts 

  • Participate in code reviews and enforce coding standards. 

  • Actively engage in knowledge sharing and mentorship with fellow team members. 

 
WHAT YOU WILL BRING: 

  • 2+ years of experience working in mobile Android development. 

  • Demonstrate proficiency with Java and/or Kotlin 

  • Previous experience designing and deploying to Google Play 

  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies and best practices. 

  • Problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills. 

  • Excellent teamwork and communication abilities. 

 

WHAT WILL SET YOU APART:  

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with a focus on software development 

  • 1 + Year of professional mobile development experience 

  • Previous experience with test automation/continuous integration for Android apps.

Base Salary Range

$84,000.00 - $118,575.00

The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
