In this role, you will be responsible for all workplace quality related initiatives related to site production, warehousing, and logistic operations. You will be responsible for supporting daily Performance Control System (PCS) reviews related to food safety. You will also support the Corporate FS&Q Manager on related initiatives. You will also conduct quality inspections, resolve quality issues, investigate root causes, direct and train team members, and follow proper procedures for all documentation.What you will be doing… Maintain and implement food safety, quality standards and procedures to meet Russell Stover Standards. Verification of quality programs performed by the different departments and individuals at the site. Lead Quality initiatives, and support food safety and quality audits. Conduct process and procedure audits and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance. Perform inspections on packaging materials, semi-finished and finished products, and in case of deviations, lead improvement initiatives, partnering with other departments such as Procurement, Operations, Industrial Performance, Research and Development. Support QA department on meeting all standards and requirements including AIB, FSMA (Food Safety Modernization Act), local and federal regulations as well as the industry’s best practices. Maintain systems for all inspection/audit records and ensure all product information remains accurate, complete, consistent, and timely. Document and communicate quality issues, trend analysis, and provide corrective action for the resolution of quality issues. Implement, review, and revise written safety programs and procedures. Perform relevant inspections and audits capturing and delegating necessary countermeasures. Document and maintain regulatory records including incident reports and OSHA Logs. Daily FSQA paperwork management to ensure the department and plant team has the correct forms needed to meet FSQA requirements. Daily PCQI record and audit supporting record  review including tracking and following-up on issues identified to ensure FSQA requirements are met. Be leader and first line of contract for plant FSQA procedures and sanitation SSOPs implementation on the floor. Respond to regulatory requests as needed.Do you have what it takes?(Basic Qualifications) Minimum 3 years in a food production environment. 5 years’ experience required in a manufacturing environment. Formal training in basic to intermediary food safety/regulatory, and Preventive Control Certified Individual (PCQI – can be obtained withing 6 months of employment). Willing to learn regulatory and quality system requirements – Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001), AIB, HACCP, Good Manufacturing Process (GMP). Proficient in MS Office applications and productivity tools. Understanding of sanitation and related practices. Strong auditing / assessment skills. Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Excellent organizational skills, and detail oriented. Functional knowledge of manufacturing operations, and process flow. Some activities may require standing in one place for long periods, walking around, or climbing stairs/ladders, and routinely lift 50 lbs. Temperature. You will be comfortable year-round with our climate-controlled environment. Our temperatures are consistently around 63°F but could fluctuate depending on your specific role. Smell. You will enjoy a variety of deliciously sweet aromas and you may end your day smelling like chocolate Dress code. Relaxed, with a few rules to follow for food safety, personal safety and in guidance with our good manufacturing practices (GMP). Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required.
