Job Description: Lead Radiologic Technologist (Radiology) – Full-Time
Location: California
Shift: Day Shift, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 with 3+ years of experience
Referral Bonus: Eligible for employee referral bonus
About the Role
As a Lead Radiologic Technologist, you will oversee and support a dynamic team of technologists while delivering exceptional patient care. Reporting to the Administrative Director of Imaging/Physical Therapy and Radiology Manager, you will supervise staff, manage daily operations, and ensure high standards in diagnostic imaging services. This position requires both technical expertise and leadership skills to foster a collaborative, patient-centered environment.
You will also work with patients across all age groups—newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric—while maintaining compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Expertise: Perform all duties of a Radiologic Technologist, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient care.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and evaluate the technical performance of staff technologists. Provide guidance on techniques, positioning, and equipment use.
- Scheduling & Operations: Manage technologist schedules, work assignments, and on-call rotations. Coordinate service and preventive maintenance for imaging equipment.
- Training & Development: Demonstrate and train staff on advanced or new procedures. Assist in onboarding new employees.
- Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate records, manage inventory, and perform product evaluations for supplies and equipment.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all imaging operations comply with governing agency regulations and organizational policies.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on advancements in imaging technology and procedures, providing recommendations for departmental enhancements.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Associate’s degree in Health Science, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of one (1) year of radiographic experience, including supervisory or administrative responsibilities preferred.
- Strong background in computer applications relevant to Business and Radiology.
Licensure & Certifications
- Required:
- Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist license (California).
- Fluoroscopy Permit (California).
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtain during orientation).
- Preferred: IV certification.
Essential Skills
- Ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of radiographic procedures, methods, and equipment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in Radiology Information Systems (RIS) with the ability to train staff.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
