They are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Construction Scheduler to join their team and help them manage and track project timelines effectively.
As a Construction Scheduler, you will play a critical role in ensuring that projects are completed according to established timelines. You will be responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining detailed project schedules, working closely with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to anticipate and resolve scheduling issues, and ensuring that all project deadlines are met. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of construction processes, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed, resource-loaded construction schedules for various projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure all tasks are accurately scheduled.
- Track and update project progress, identify delays or issues, and proactively recommend corrective actions.
- Review and monitor subcontractor and supplier schedules to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Use scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar) to create and manage project timelines.
- Communicate any potential schedule impacts or changes to stakeholders, including clients and project team members.
- Perform critical path analysis and resource leveling to optimize project efficiency.
- Monitor and report on the overall health of the schedule and its alignment with project milestones.
- Attend project meetings, provide schedule updates, and participate in discussions regarding project progress.
- Prepare regular status reports and presentations for clients and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience (5 years) as a Construction Scheduler or similar role in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and project phases.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Knowledge of construction contracts, cost management, and project management principles is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
