Job Description:- 17+ years of industry experience and 10+ years’ experience working on VMware technologies. Gather and analyze customer business and technical requirements and guide the customer on best-practice configurations to create high-level and low-level designs. Take full ownership of customer technical architecture, lead consultant(s), and take responsibility for all project deliverables. Create test plans to validate deployment processes aligned to customer use-cases, and create launch and operations plans to increase user adoption and consumption. Need to work directly with customers to transfer your knowledge of their environment, either by partnering with key customer stakeholders, or by presenting to small groups. End-to-end technical governance of the project, also identify and work with the Project Manager to manage commercial, cost, schedule, operational and scope risks, with possible mitigation(s). Manage customer expectations and work with Project Managers to input to project plans with realistic timelines. Need to partner with the project manager on project budget, resource planning and all aspects of efficient project delivery. Manage customer and internal escalations; collaborate with VMware support and engineering teams as needed to resolve product and customer issues. Need to interact with various customers’ teams, from technical engineers and system administrators to business leaders and executives. Technical skillset:- VCF – Virtual Cloud foundation, VMware Architect, VMware Avi , VCF stack solution design, VMware Avi Implementation , VMware NSX - T Implementation, F5 and CheckPoint migration and implementation, VCAP – DCV, VCAP – CMA Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position is between $180,000 – $ 190,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in VmWare NSX VMWare vRealize Automation Vmware administration and windows administration. Experience in eCTD submissions and publishing is a plus. This hybrid role requires a proactive individual who can drive infrastructure projects and ensure seamless operations. Responsibilities Lead the design and implementation of infrastructure solutions using VmWare NSX to ensure robust network virtualization. Oversee the deployment and management of VMWare vRealize Automation to streamline IT service delivery. Provide expert administration of Vmware environments to maintain optimal performance and reliability. Manage windows administration tasks to ensure secure and efficient operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure strategies with business goals. Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure processes and configurations. Conduct regular assessments and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices. Implement automation scripts to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and service disruptions. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members to foster skill development. Engage in capacity planning and forecasting to support future growth and scalability. Ensure data protection and disaster recovery plans are in place and regularly tested. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive continuous improvement. Qualifications Possess extensive experience in VmWare NSX demonstrating the ability to design and implement complex network virtualization solutions. Have a strong background in VMWare vRealize Automation showcasing the capability to automate IT service delivery processes. Demonstrate proficiency in Vmware administration ensuring high availability and performance of virtual environments. Exhibit solid experience in windows administration managing security updates and system configurations. Nice to have experience in eCTD submissions and publishing adding value to domain-specific projects. Show excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical issues.
