LEAD PHARMACIST

West Henderson Hospital is currently under construction and is expected to open in late 2024. When it does it will be the seventh acute care hospital in The Valley Health System. It will be located at the southwest corner of Raiders Parkway and St. Rose Parkway, near the Las Vegas Raiders' headquarters. When the hospital opens it will feature:

• 150 beds
• A 37-bay emergency department
• Surgical suites including heart and hybrid suites.
• Endoscopy suites
• Cardiac catheterization labs
• An electrophysiology lab to treat heart rhythm disorders
• An interventional radiology/special procedures lab to treat neurological disorders.
• Inpatient nursing care units.

Job Description:

Performs lead functions for an assigned shift or outlying pharmaceutical operations and provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care through integrated drug distribution, patient counseling and teaching. Participates in supervision of employees including, but not limited to, competency, training, serving as a resource person and providing feedback on performance.

Shift:   FULL TIME DAYS

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (BS Pharm)

Experience:

Three to five years (3-5) experience required, preferable in a hospital setting.

Technical Skills:

Automation experience with knowledge of reporting features (i.e., optimization, load/unload, nursing narcotic access, etc.)

License/Certification:

Current Pharmacist License in the State of Nevada.
