We are a true farm-to-table company with an integrated portfolio including food processing and food brands, phosphate mining, fertilizer manufacturing, farming, ranching and cattle production, and other enterprises related to agriculture.SUMMARYPerforms various tasks under supervision to assist in the everyday operations of the feedlot by performing the following duties.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assists in the receiving operation by branding, tagging, vaccinating, and sorting cattle. Cleans pens, scales, feed bunks, water tank drains, and water troughs to remove dust and sand particles in order to ensure healthy feeding facilities. Assists cowboys by opening gates and gathering livestock to scales, pens, trucks, and holding areas according to instructions. Makes routine repairs and performs general maintenance duties in the feedlot. Performs other duties as instructed by supervisor. Other duties may be assigned.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situation.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.REASONING ABILITYAbility to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
