Feedlot Feed Truck Driver

We are a true farm-to-table company with an integrated portfolio including food processing and food brands, phosphate mining, fertilizer manufacturing, farming, ranching and cattle production, and other enterprises related to agriculture.SUMMARYOperates a feed truck in order to feed cattle using established route pattern to ensure consistent application of established feed rations.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Feeds cattle on an established pen route; unloads feed truck contents into the concrete feed bunks according to the Feed Boss' instructions.Loads feed truck with proper feed proportions according to the individual ration requirements.Cleans the feed truck; takes the truck to be serviced by Company mechanics.**Other duties may be assigned.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.Ability to write simple correspondence.Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to managers and other employees of the organization.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to operate a 10 wheeler truck.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
