Group/Division
The Customer Engagement (CE) team is our field based, customer facing organization consisting of Technical Engagement Managers and Application Engineers. The team partners closely with our customers to provide a comprehensive portfolio of products, software, and expertise, to help customers manage yield throughout their fabrication process-from research and development to final volume production. Responsibilities of this group include maintaining strategic client relationships, partnering with our sales team in identifying and closing sales opportunities, ensuring our products meet performance capabilities & expectations, providing critical solutions for improved yield performance, and collecting requirements for future products by understanding customer processes and technology trends. Partnering with our sales organization and factory divisions, this diverse and dynamic team helps ensure alignment between customer needs and product offerings to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

Job Description
The applications engineer in this position will be a key growth enabler for the Broadband Plasma Division (BBP). BBP provides market-leading patterned wafer optical inspection systems for leading-edge IC manufacturing. Logic, foundry, and memory customers depend on BBP products to detect yield-critical defects for process debug and excursion monitoring at advanced process nodes.
Job Responsibilities
- The candidate is required to develop an in-depth expertise in product operation, applications, and customer processes.
- Collaborate with critical customers to ensure KLA products are adopted and applied to their unique problems.
- Support for pre-sale activities that include product demos, product presentations, development of technical papers, and support at trade shows.
- Support for post-sale activities that include customer training, customer support, understanding customer processes, and development of new use cases.
- Support for internal customers such as service, engineering, and operations.
Qualifications
- Master's Level Degree OR Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 2 years of experience.
- Degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Material Science or related field.
- A background in IC processing OR Semiconductor equipment is desirable, but not mandatory.
- Ability to perform complex data/image analysis using data-analysis tools.
- Teamwork is critical so having a good balance between technical skills and people skills is a must.
- Must have excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Candidate will be required to frequently present results to internal as well as external customers.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's Level Degree and 0 years related work experience; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 2 years
