HR Part-Time Assistant

Our products include milk, flavored milk, yogurt, dip, sour cream, cottage cheese, Italian cheese, and ice cream mix marketed under the Upstate Farms ® , Bison ® , Milk for Life ® , and Intense Milk ® brands.
This opportunity will be part-time temporary; 20-25 hours per week with a flexible Monday - Friday schedule. Human Resources Assistant works with the Plant HR Manager assisting with the day-to-day operations of the Human Resource office. The Human Resources Assistant assumes other responsibilities as assigned by the Human Resources Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
HRIS Management - Maintain digital and electronic records of employees. Assist with the recruitment process. Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events and maintain agendas. 1 st level employee relations assisting employees with payroll, benefit and time and attendance issues. Providing site leadership with guidance as necessary. Assist with performance management procedures. Coordinate training sessions and seminars. Perform orientations and update records of new staff. Produce and submit reports on general HR activity. Complete termination paperwork and exit interviews. Keep up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices. Assists with the administration of programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the company. Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
Qualifications:
Previous HR experience and HRIS administration preferred. UltiPro a plus The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership, creativity, enthusiasm, and the ability to work effectively with all constituencies both in and outside of the plants. Able to work flexible or extended hours dependent on business demands when needed. Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include Excel and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping. Effective oral and written communication. Excellent organizational skills.
Pay: $21 -$23 per hour*
*The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the salary range for this position. Actual salary will vary depending on factors including, but not limited to, budget available, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position's qualifications, in addition to internal equity. The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package. Other components of the total rewards package may include participation in group health and/or dental insurance, retirement plan, wellness program, paid time away from work, and paid holidays.
