Make history with us.General SummaryThis position is responsible for implementing advanced reliability tools, work processes, and supporting reliability efforts for the plant. They will work to improve equipment and process performance by applying reliability principles, statistical data analysis and supporting the work process to support the Company's overall strategic objectives with a focus on safety, people, quality, delivery and cost. Primary responsibilities include identifying and managing asset reliability risks through loss elimination, risk and Life Cycle Asset Management; develops analysis method for determining reliability of components, equipment, and processes; prepares diagrams, charts, and drawings, calculations, and reports, for defining reliability problems; and conducts an analysis of reliability problems to determine what reliability tools are required for the particular situation. Determines the costs advantages of alternative solutions to develop action plans to comply with internal/external customer demands for reliability processes/equipment to avoid failures.Principal Accountabilities• 75% - Reliability/Project Management:Develops engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect plant operations. Utilize data analysis techniques that can include statistical process control; reliability modeling and prediction; Six Sigma methodology; root cause failure analysis (RCFA); and corrective and preventative actions systems.Delivers a through timely, cost-effective implementation to optimize operational effectiveness and efficiency.Participate in the of design and installation, scheduling and capital funds of cost-effective equipment modifications to help improve safety, reliability, and throughput.Provides active technical support for all plant departments, to drive performance objectives and improvement initiatives.• 25% - Strategic Partner:Provide ongoing leadership for Lean transformation and other continuous improvement initiatives. Actively participate in and help drive the 5S Program, kaizen events, standard work development, etc.Considers the impact of costs during the design phase or remedial action for correcting reliability problems on installed equipment and performs root cause analysis to help prevent failures.Participates in final check-out of new installations. This includes factory and site acceptance testing that will assure adherence to functional specifications.Job ComplexityProvide input to a risk management plan that will anticipate reliability and non-reliability related risks that could adversely impact plant operations.Overall equipment effectivenessApplies value analysis to repair/replace, repair/designs and make/buy decisions.Share best practices results from within and outside of the plant.Must be able to identify, align and execute complex and multi-disciplined project initiatives to support the plant's key objectives relative to safety, people, quality, delivery, and cost.Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize based on business needs.Must possess the ability to overcome resistance to organizational change, influence all employees to embrace it, and lead the change initiative.Minimum QualificationsAssociates Degree required.3+ years of engineering, and/or reliability experience in a manufacturing environment.Preferred QualificationsExperience in the food processing/consumer goods industryBachelor of Science degree in an Engineering disciplineASQ Certification, CRE a plus, Six Sigma belt a plusExcellent project management skills.Ability to direct and lead others to produce desired results.Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to influence and motivate others. Computer proficiency in Windows-based software applications (Microsoft Office), AutoCAD and SAP knowledge.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team environment.Working ConditionsThe working environment includes both office and plant floor settings. Exposure to industrial noise, forklift traffic, moving mechanical parts, and temperature extremes occurs in operating areas of the plant.Compensation and Benefits:The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between$72,900-$117,300Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
