POSITION SUMMARY:  The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in the planning and execution of pricing initiatives. They will be responsible for providing consolidated reporting, analysis, and financial decision support to the Revenue Management department. The Sr Financial Analyst works with department leadership and functional business partners to promote data-based insight and ideas that support all Company growth and pricing initiatives.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Provides financial decision support (budgeting/forecasting, variance analysis and underlying cost drivers) for business partners to ensure optimal achievement of revenue and margin targets.
  • Prepares, interprets, and distributes monthly variance reporting versus plan and historic results.
  • Prepares periodic reports for operating reviews with senior management and board of directors.
  • Facilitate the monthly price increase process and fee programs, ensuring critical updates and issues are well communicated at all levels of the organization.
  • Provide financial analysis and support on projects which will help improve the business.
  • Recommends and implements innovative and efficient ways of leveraging systems to improve process and achieve goals.
  • Understands and supports business with issues related to data validation and integrity that arise.
  • Assists with the annual budget and planning process.
  • Captures, organizes, and analyzes large amounts of data from various systems.
  • Performs research and problem resolution for miscellaneous revenue management issues that may arise.
  • Assists with various other ad-hoc and analytical requests.
  • Act as a liaison with IT and Data Analytics teams to establish current processes and future enhancements.
  • Lead pricing projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and implementation plans, including risk mitigation.
  • Articulates findings and recommendations to internal customers with ease.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES: 

  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office including Word, Excel, SQL Server, and PowerPoint. Excel skills should include knowledge of pivot tables, creating data connections to SQL server, VLOOKUPs, and VBA Programming.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to connect with and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to manage projects from inception to completion.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Experience conducting financial projects and statistical studies of a complex nature.
  • Proven knowledge of financial analysis, forecasting, strategic planning, and interpretation of financial data.
  • Experience supporting pricing and revenue growth.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience in financial analysis or accounting (required).

Recycling and Waste

SUSTAINABILITY INNOVATION

Republic’s recent innovations to advance circularity and decarbonization demonstrate our unique ability to leverage sustainability as a platform for growth.

The Republic Services Polymer Center is the nation’s first integrated plastics recycling facility. This innovative site processes rigid plastics from our recycling centers, producing recycled materials that promote true bottle-to-bottle circularity. We also formed Blue Polymers, a joint venture with Ravago, to develop facilities that will further process plastic material from our Polymer Centers to help meet the growing demand for sustainable packaging. We are building a network of Polymer Centers and Blue Polymer facilities across North America.

We continue to advance decarbonization at our landfills. As demand for renewable energy continues to grow, we have 70 landfill gas-to-energy projects in operation and plan to expand our portfolio to 115 projects by 2028.
