What You’ll Do:

- Provide comprehensive eye exams and vision care to residents in retirement homes and assisted living centers across Portland, ensuring they receive personalized and accessible care.

- Diagnose and manage common eye conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and dry eye, with a focus on the elderly population.

- Prescribe corrective lenses and treatments that enhance the quality of life for senior patients.

- Collaborate with facility staff to create seamless care experiences for residents, ensuring comfort and convenience at every step.

- Travel to different locations within the Portland area using fully equipped mobile optometry tools, all provided by MobilityCares.

- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

 

What We’re Looking For:

- Doctor of Optometry (OD) from an accredited institution.

- Active Oregon state optometry license (or the ability to obtain one).

- A passion for working with the elderly population, with a focus on patient-centered care.

- Excellent communication skills, empathy, and a commitment to making vision care accessible for seniors.

- Ability to work independently and adapt to different settings, with an interest in traveling to various retirement communities and assisted living centers.
