Diagnostic Imaging Assistant

The Specialist-Diagnostic Imaging Support assists and directs patients while retrieving, organizing and inputting digital images and/or exam information into our Electronic Medical Records System (EMS). The Diagnostic Imaging Support Specialist is responsible for all applicable software, and interacts with many departments, office staff, physicians and patients. The position requires extensive clerical, telephonic, and customer service skills.

Required qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training and Basic medical terminology course, or completed within 6 months of hire.
  • Associate's Degree:
  • 1 year medical and/or clerical experience, or
  • A successful completion of a Providence Internship.
  • Medical terminology and physical anatomy: knowledge obtained through work experience.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in the medical field. Or equivalent educ/experience
  • Coursework/Training and College courses in intermediate medical terminology and physical anatomy. Or equivalent educ/experience
  • Diagnostic Imaging experience.
  • Electronic Medical Records System experience.
