Logistics Accountant

Job Description Primary PurposeThis position will perform month-end close, daily and weekly reporting for transportation, garages, freezers and export freight.
This includes account reconciliations, budgeting and maintaining general ledger accuracy and visibility to the appropriate internal stakeholders.Major Duties & Responsibilities Completes month-end close functions including journal entries and publishing month-end reports as well as account reconciliations. Supports management with ad-hoc reporting and analyses as needed. Schedules and prepares monthly cost reviews for customer visibility of details. Continues to learn about industry-developing competency and commitment. Promotes and maintains a safe and secure work environment in accordance with Mountaire policies.Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance. 2 - 3 years' experience in a related field. Proficient in Excel. The ability to learn new systems. Demonstrated presentation skills.
