About the Role: The Fleet Shop Supervisor is responsible for operating an efficient and effective operation through knowledge of equipment, cost controls, achievement of objectives, and maintenance of all relevant equipment records. Essential Functions Supervise work of designated in-house mechanics, field mechanics, fuel & lube technicians, and vendorsKeep current on new technologies as they relate to the management of equipment and apply accordinglySchedule and perform preventative maintenance for designated Company equipmentProvide emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment as neededSupervise the inspection and repair of designated Company vehicles and equipment and provide recommendations on course of action accordinglyUnderstand and ensure compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy proceduresRead and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and serviceOversee mechanics in the performance of all repairs on both light and heavy equipmentDocument work performed by utilizing system software programsEnsure OSHA standards and company safety policies are always complied withUnderstand and follow federal, state and local regulationsCoordinate with safety department to ensure a safe work environment is maintainedSecure and analyze vendor quotes and estimates for services, tools, parts, and suppliesMonitor and control inventory levels of parts, tools and suppliesDevelop and maintain vendor list and continuously monitor overall quality of service providedRegular and predictable attendanceOther duties as assignedEssential functions of this position are to be performed at a Company-designated office or field locationUnderstand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and other industry-specific professional and ethical standards About You: QualificationsMinimum 5 years of experience in fleet equipment maintenanceHigh school diploma or GEDKnowledge/Skills/AbilitiesProficient with computer systems as related to utilization of scheduling of manpower/resources, implementation of preventative maintenance programs and inventory management systemsGeneral knowledge of MS Office SuiteStrong commitment to safetyExcellent communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain rapportExcellent organizational and time management skillsStrong leadership and team building skills What We Offer: Compensation & BenefitsThis will be a union position.
