Get paid while taking our 3 week skills class to get certified, certification class also paid for by Rochester Regional Health.ELDERONEAn affiliate of Rochester Regional Health, a Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). Servicing Monroe, Ontario and Wayne counties, ElderONE is an innovative alternative to long-term nursing home placement. As the area’s only PACE program, ElderONE represents the future of senior health care. This long-term care program provides the entire continuum of medical care and support services to seniors 55 and older with chronic care needs, allowing them to maintain their independence in the comfort of their home without compromising their health or safety.STATUS: Full Time         LOCATION: Rochester, NY 14607DEPARTMENT: ElderONESCHEDULE: 8am-5pm Monday - Friday - while in trainingATTRIBUTESOne (1) to two (2) years of direct patient care experience preferredExcellent communication skills with the ability to follow verbal and written instructionsAbility to meet physical demands, such as continuous standing or walking and lifting weight up to 35 lbs.Strong computer skillsRESPONSIBILITIES Program Participation. Actively participate in class reading, discussion and written course work.Verified Skill. Skillfully and safely perform all activities listed on the home health aide competency testDemonstrate Knowledge.  Score 80% or higher on the Home Health Aide quizzes and examsMandatory Attendance. Punctually attend all required training classes and clinical orientations.EDUCATION:LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: NYS DL - valid New York State Driver's License - New York State Department of Motor Vehicles (NYSDMV)PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements. PAY RANGE:$17.60 - $17.60CITY:RochesterPOSTAL CODE:14617The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
