At Belvidere Ice Cream, we create Ice cream and are proud to provide families with fresh, delicious dairy. Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist operators as necessaryLoad and/or unload materials, ingredients, parts, products, cases, crates, and palletsMove, stack, or place items on conveyor manually or by mechanized meansDeliver production or area specific items to designated work areas for processingPack products in crates or boxes by handSort, bundle, and fill containers or place in assembled unitsMark or put identifying labels on product loadsConstruct or de-construct shipping boxesMaintain general housekeeping of the assigned areaComplete all required paperwork accurately and legiblyReport quality and operational issues or irregularities to supervisor as they occurMaintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issuesFollow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirementsThe requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required. Other duties may be assigned as requiredPlease Note: *Shift hours will be assigned week by week (1st, 2nd and 3rd shift/ Monday-Friday)*Must be open to working anywhere in plant*Job may be assigned daily (potentially)*Local 703 Union POSITION PAYS :$27.27 per hour  Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredWarehouse, production, or general work experience preferredCertification and/or License – may be required during course of employmentKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAble to follow directions and carry out instructionsAble to effectively work in a team environmentAble to legibly write entries for record keepingAble to work in a fast-paced environmentAble to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimalsMust be able to read, write and speak English
