Job SummaryThe Corporate Farm Manager will direct the daily operations of all corporate owned breeder and growout farms providing leadership, training, and direction. This position will ensure daily operations and animal welfare practices are in compliance with company standards.Essential Job FunctionsThe essential duties and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:Provide leadership and coaching to team members to ensure strong results though effective performance management and development planning.Developing and implementing a solid strategic plan with the Breeder/Growout Manager while balancing the immediate needs with the long-term goals of the company.Reports weekly trends of mortality, marketability, FCR, weights and cost at team meetings.Responsible for driving efficiencies, including labor and facility performance, while maintaining Company animal welfare standards.Develop and implement operational processes and ensure accountability with change management with all levels of staff.Propose capital projects as needed to management that result in a return on investments through optimal bird performance.Work with Production team to develop weekly plant schedule and advise on possible weights of incoming birds.Effective collaboration with farm managers, service techs and vet services to troubleshoot any areas of processing or bird health concerns with a farm lead.Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal codes and regulations.Report any animal welfare related issues to management immediately.Report any potential Food Safety issues to management immediately.Report any damages to company vehicles, equipment, and buildings via maintenance work order software program.Comply with all company policies and procedures.Minimum Required QualificationsThe minimum required qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:Bachelor s degree in related field, preferred.Minimum 5 years of demonstrated supervisory experience in related field, required; poultry or livestock preferred.Bilingual English/Spanish required.Valid driver s license and acceptable driving record, required.Ability to effectively manage multiple locations, plan a weekly schedule and organize multiple activities.Ability to travel and cover a large geographical area in a given day.Outstanding communication skills.Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.Ability to independently make decisions with minimum supervision.Ability to multitask and effectively prioritize workload.Knowledge of animal welfare and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).Advanced personal computer skills: Working knowledge of Excel and Outlook.Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to assist others.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures.Benefits:MedicalInsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceLive InsuranceShort Term and Long Term Disability401 k with matchPaidTime OffEmployee Discount ProgramsVoluntary Benefit Programs
