As a Production Associate, you ll play a crucial role in various aspects of product distribution. This position requires working with raw and/or cooked packaged products. Typical assignments may include wpl, setting up lines, lifting totes, box room, palletizing, picking, and/or sanitation.Shift(s)Usually works three to five days a week, with overtime as required based on production need.A - Days Shift : 7:30/8:00am-7:00pm, Wednesday - SaturdayB - Night Shift: 7/7:30pm-4:30am, Monday - FridayC - Day Shift: 6/630a-7:00pm, Monday, Tuesday and Sunday Pay and Benefits: Comprehensive benefits packages, including medical, dental and vision coverage.Paid time off and holiday pay.Access to your pay in advance with PayActiv.Career advancement opportunities within the organization.Principal and Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesWorks at various stations along the production line processing poultry food productsOperates machinery and equipment in accordance with safety protocols and standard operating procedures.Maintains a clean and organized work area to uphold food safety standards.Collaborates with team members to achieve production targets.Participates in company and department safety programs.Minimum EducationHigh School or equivalent not required but preferred.Experience PreferredExperience in a distribution warehousepreferred.Environmental Factors and Physical RequirementsWhen in a plant environment:Ability to tolerate exposure to wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.Ability to stand for an extended period and perform repetitive tasks.Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs by reaching, bending, and pushing boxes.Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, and ear protection as required.May work in an environment with varying temperatures between 28 degrees and 100 degrees Fahrenheit.May handle product varying in temperatures between 25 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.May be exposed to dust, feathers and all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.Occasional exposure to carbon dioxide vapors 10ppm and chlorine less than 20 ppm.Perdue Farms, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
