Job Description

About the role:

The Manufacturing Scheduler will be responsible for developing and maintaining the manufacturing schedule for the Fractionation area. You will responsible for the manufacturing schedule and providing windows for non routine activities.

The hours of this position are 7:00AM-4:30PM, M-FRI; weekend and holiday work. Overtime may be required. You will need to to be flexible to support weekend scheduling coverage based on business need.

How you will contribute:
  • Independently develop schedules for manufacturing using system tools.
  • Coordinate scheduling activities with support groups.
  • Single contact for manufacturing scheduling.
  • Support work order reconciliation for your assigned area
  • Develop tools to guide shift goals
  • Report standard vs. actual to drive schedule optimization
  • Specify production work order builds for materials resource planning system
  • Revise existing or initiate new SOPs, Job aids, and Structured on the Job Training (SOJT) associated with the manufacturing scheduling process.
  • Work with inventory technicians/ warehouse to schedule, coordinate, and execute material transfers to support manufacturing schedule adherence.
  • Containment of issues as they arise on shift escalation of issues.
  • Manage reporting tools and metrics that support department and team goals.
  • Develop/conduct training to support department needs
  • Contribute to a culture of safety first in compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS). Understand Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) packets.
  • General problem solving and analytical skills.
What you bring to Takeda:
  • High school diploma or GED. 4+ years of related work experience or AA degree or higher and 2+ years related work experience.
  • Individual that requires minimal supervision
  • Experienced using MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). MS Project experience is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing systems (Ex. Kaizen, Kanban, 5S) is preferred.
  • Must have a customer service approach to daily work.
  • May require immunization before performing work within the manufacturing area.
Important Considerations

At Takeda, our patients rely on us to deliver quality products. As a result, we must follow strict rules in our manufacturing facilities to ensure we are not endangering the quality of the product. In this role, you may:

  • May wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and other clean room garments daily. This may include safety shoes, safety glasses, aprons, face shields, lab coats, full body gowns, hair nets and gloves and hearing protection.
  • Need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.
  • Work in a cold, wet environment.
  • Work multiple shifts, including weekends, or be asked to work supplemental hours.
  • Work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection.
  • Will carry up to 25 lbs., lift up to 50 lbs., and push/pull > 100 lbs. (with the assistance of material handling equipment).
  • Will stand for extended periods of time over an entire 8 or 12-hour shift.
  • Will climb ladders and stairs while wearing special gowning.
  • May require bending, twisting, reaching overhead, and squatting motions to perform certain tasks.
  • Will work in controlled environments requiring special gowning. Will follow gowning requirements and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body.
  • No make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish or artificial fingernails may be worn in the manufacturing environment.
  • Will work in a cold, wet environment.
  • Must be able to work multiple shifts, including weekends. Will work overtime.
  • May work in a confined area.
  • Some Clean Room and cool/hot storage conditions.

U.S. Hourly Wage Range:

$26.92 - $42.31

The estimated hourly wage range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual hourly wage offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location. 

 

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others.
