The ideal candidate will have experience working in a school environment, a managerial background, and a thorough understanding of basic financials.What You’ll DoFinancial Management:Advising school leadership on fiscal mattersCollaborate with school leadership to develop the annual SA budgetManage financial processes, including budgets, vendor expenses, EITC/OSTC funds, grants, donations, etcCommunicate with school families regarding financial matters, scholarships, and financial aidAssign scholarships and financial aidMaintain checks and balances through separation of duties where possibleEnsure compliance with financial regulations and school policiesOperational Management:Coordinate and oversee administrative functions and support servicesCollaborate with school leadership to develop and implement strategic plansManage supply ordering and inventoryMaintain relationships with external vendorsAssist families with Simple Tuition Services scholarship and financial aid documentation.Handle accounting responsibilities through GradelinkOversee facilities and IT managementImplement health and safety protocols, ensuring compliance with regulatory reviews (e.g., PA Department of Education, PA Department of Agriculture, Allentown Health Bureau)Facilitate meetings with operations staff on compliance, updates, and training opportunitiesRegulatory Compliance and Reporting:Maintain staff records and compliance with PDE-mandated clearances (e.g., Act 151,114, and 34)Ensure staff completion of PDE-mandated trainings (e.g., Act 126, 55, CPR, Suicide Prevention, Diabetes Care and Treatment, etc.)Coordinate and conduct safety drillsEnsure compliance with the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) requirements, including, but not limited to, application submissions, claims on a monthly and annual basis, direct certification, financial reporting, procurement processes, and administrative reviewsParticipate in the triennial revision and submission of the PDE-mandated Wellness Policy and Triennial ReportStakeholder Communication:Serve as the primary liaison for auditors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.Facilitate communication between English and Spanish-speaking stakeholdersProfessional Development:Engage in ongoing professional development to stay informed about best practices in school business managementWhat You'll NeedRequired:Education:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related fieldCertification:Relevant certification in School Business Administration or a related field is desirableExperience:3 years of work experience, preferably in education and/or business or operations management.2 years managing a team or multiple large projects preferredSkills:Bilingual in English and SpanishStrong knowledge of financial accounting and experience managing operating budgetsDemonstrated management and leadership skillsStrong project and time management skills; ability to effectively backwards plan, juggle multiple priorities with great attention to detail, and deliver consistent and timely resultsStrong systems thinker, builder and plannerSense of humility, customer service mindset and ability to proactively solve problems and make decisions quicklyTeam player with strong interpersonal and stakeholder management and relationship building skillsAbility to lead, influence, and hold others accountable to upholding high standards of operational excellenceAbility to be calm under pressure, especially in difficult conversations with parents and staff.Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skillsExcellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft ExcelAbility to be flexible and adapt and work collaborativelyPreferred:Experience working in a private or charter schoolExperience working with the Pennsylvania Department of EducationPhysical DemandsAbility to safely and successfully perform the essential job functionsAbility to stand, sit, and move around the office for extended periodsAbility to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitorAbility to lift 25 lbs.#LI-JE1Reasonable Accommodation StatementIf you require a reasonable accommodation in completing this application, interviewing, completing any pre-employment testing, or otherwise participating in the employment selection process, please direct your inquiries to application.accommodations@cai.io or (888) 824 – 8111.Equal Employment Opportunity Policy StatementIt is the policy of CAI not to discriminate against any employee or applicant due to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, marital status, genetic information, disability or being a protected veteran.
