Here, you will make an impactSupporting product development teams with toxicology guidance and material selection through the preparation of biocompatibility evaluations, hazard assessments, and product risk assessments of medical devices and other products globally in our medical surgical, dental, and purification & filtration businesses.Determining appropriate strategies for assessment of complex medical devices or products and design test methods to evaluate the safety of new materials.Communicating toxicity testing and risk assessment results internally and externally through oral presentations, written reports, and publications.Providing technical guidance to other staff groups involved with regulatory and hazard communication issues for assigned divisions.Maintaining a strong operational knowledge of industry technologies, products, customers, and customers’ needs.Your Skills and Expertise  To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or higher AND seven (7) years of experience in Toxicology, Pharmacology, Chemical, or Biological Sciences in a private, public, government or military environmentORHigh School Diploma/GED AND fourteen (14) years of experience in Toxicology, Pharmacology, Chemical, or Biological Sciences in a private, public, government or military environmentAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Master’s degree in Toxicology, Pharmacology, Chemical, or Biological SciencesPh.D. in Toxicology, Pharmacology, Chemical, or Biological SciencesProfessional certification, Diplomat of the American Board of Toxicology (DABT) or equivalentExperience with evaluation of health care products according to US and international regulatory standards, such as ISO 10993Experience with QSAR, computational toxicology, chemical read-across, and non-animal methodsExperience interacting with the US FDA, EU notified bodies, or other governmental regulatory agenciesWork location: Remote - United States Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/internationalRelocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being Solventum offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
