The Shift Supervisor will work out of our Brownwood, TX facility and report to the Operations Manager. The key responsibilities and duties of this position include, but are not limited to:Due to the scope and needs of manufacturing operations, this position is an onsite-based position and is not eligible for remote work.The Shift Supervisor will work out of our Brownwood, TX facility and report to the Operations Manager. The key responsibilities and duties of this position include, but are not limited to:Oversee day to day activities of the manufacturing facility to ensure safety and operational performance to delivered dailyManage staff and equipment to schedules (including timecard approval), reduce/eliminate downtime, and train employees appropriately per positionOversee batching: ensure schedule is batched as required, train new employees as required in batchingAnalyze and solve work and equipment problems alerting maintenance as requiredOversight of the extrusion, grinding and packaging operatorsInventory management & upkeep; coordinate to meet timing and expectations of inventory to the floorDevelop & improve processes, standard operating procedures, and training materials to meet specifications, ensure quality and meet attainment to scheduleDrive 5S and continuous improvement initiatives, including cleaning all floor areasEscalate and coordinate with teams when needed to resolve issues and maintain floor outputEnsure everything is being maintained and documented properly through the entire process according to HAACP requirements and company standardsAble to lift up to 50 lbsOther duties as assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalentAble to work in extreme heat and coldAbility to be on your feet a majority of the dayMust be willing to submit a background check and pre-employment drug screening Must be eligible to work in the USPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSPrior experience working on the floor of a production facilityMinimum 3 years pf experience in Pet Food3 to 5 years of experience in people management in a manufacturing settingProficient in Microsoft ExcelESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSAbility to push, pull, carry, and lift 50 to 75 lbs Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 8 hoursAscend/descend a ladder or stairs dailyAbility to operate a computer and other office technology Occasionally position self to access low spaces Ability to observe details at close range Must be able to work in extreme hot and cold temperaturesMust be able to work out of the office during regular business hoursMust be able to relay accurate information via multiple communication vehicles including verbal and written mechanismsBENEFITS401K matchingMedicalDentalVisionShort Term DisabilityLong Term DisabilityHSA & FSAPet Insurance Life InsuranceEmployee Assistant ProgramReferral ProgramAnd moreEthos is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
