Job Description

As a Shift Supervisor at Canidae Corporation, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our manufacturing facility. This includes ensuring safety and operational performance, managing staff and equipment, and training employees as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee batching and ensure schedules are met
  • Manage staff and equipment to reduce downtime and improve efficiency
  • Analyze and solve work and equipment problems
  • Oversight of extrusion, grinding, and packaging operators
  • Inventory management and upkeep
  • Develop and improve processes and standard operating procedures
  • Drive 5S and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Escalate and coordinate with teams to resolve issues

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Able to work in extreme heat and cold
  • Ability to be on your feet a majority of the day
  • Must be willing to submit a background check and pre-employment drug screening
  • Must be eligible to work in the US

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working on the floor of a production facility
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Pet Food
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in people management in a manufacturing setting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
