Department/Unit:Surgery Vascular TechWork Shift:Day (United States of America)LPN – Full TimeVascular Surgery OfficeWork schedule: Monday – Friday Our Vascular Surgery office located in Albany, NY is seeking a dynamic LPN with excellent attention to detail to join our dedicated team of healthcare providers This position is located at 391 Myrtle Ave in Albany, NY. Under the direction of the attending physician, RN, Lead LPN or practice coordinator, the LPN will provide direct patient care and assist in the following clinical functions to all providers.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include: Obtains and accurately record patient’s vital signsDocuments components of patient’s historyCommunicates in an open and appropriate manner with patients, visitors and staffParticipates in in-office procedures under the direction and supervision of a licensed healthcare providerPerforms diagnostic CLIA waived testingPerforms venipuncture to obtain blood for lab testingPrescription call-backs per scope of practicePreps patient’s chart for pertinent clinical informationMaintains inventory of supplies, and keeps patient examination rooms stockedAdheres to AMC’s regulatory compliance issuesMinimum Qualifications:High School diploma or equivalentCurrent NYS license as a licensed practical nursePrevious experience in a patient care setting preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from physicians, patients and their family members or other employees within the work setting. Salary Range: $23.00/hr - $28.76/hrThank you for your interest in Albany Medical Center​Albany Medical is an equal opportunity employer.This role may require access to information considered sensitive to Albany Medical Center, its patients, affiliates, and partners, including but not limited to HIPAA Protected Health Information and other information regulated by Federal and New York State statutes.
