LPN – Full TimeVascular Surgery OfficeWork schedule: Monday – Friday Our Vascular Surgery outpatient practice located in Albany, NY is seeking a dynamic LPN with excellent attention to detail to join our dedicated team of healthcare providersThe LPN will provide nursing support to all providers within the Practice. This is demonstrated by collaboratively working with the health-care team by providing patient information that impacts the planning, directing, providing and evaluating patient care. The LPN will serve as a direct care nurse.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include: Obtains and accurately record patient’s vital signsDocuments components of patient’s historyCommunicates in an open and appropriate manner with patients, visitors and staffParticipates in in-office procedures under the direction and supervision of a licensed healthcare providerPerforms diagnostic CLIA waived testingPerforms venipuncture to obtain blood for lab testingPrescription call-backs per scope of practicePreps patient’s chart for pertinent clinical informationMaintains inventory of supplies, and keeps patient examination rooms stockedAdheres to AMC’s regulatory compliance issuesMinimum QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalentCurrent NYS license as a licensed practical nursePrevious experience in a patient care setting preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from physicians, patients and their family members or other employees within the work setting. Thank you for your interest in Albany Medical Center​Albany Medical is an equal opportunity employer.This role may require access to information considered sensitive to Albany Medical Center, its patients, affiliates, and partners, including but not limited to HIPAA Protected Health Information and other information regulated by Federal and New York State statutes.
