The Jack Link s Protein Snacks portfolio of brands includes, Jack Link s, Lorissa s Kitchen, BiFi, Peperami, Wild River, Golden Island and Country Fresh Meats.We offer:Steady, predictable shiftsA passionate team Strong family valuesCareer opportunities with a goal to promote from within  Competitive pay including a bonus planGreat benefits including a medical plan, dental plan and vision planPaid Time Off (PTO) and holiday payDiscounted productJob DescriptionHours for 1st shift:5:15 am-3:45 pm, starting wage based on experience $19The Material Handler is responsible for performing tasks involving the shipping and receiving finished materials.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The duties and responsibilities of this position shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following:Operating mechanical forklifts, pallet jacks, and stock picker lift trucks.Operating and maintaining RF Scanner (handheld warehouse computer).Accurate and timely selecting of orders  Accurately completing work order sheets.  Notify supervisor or FSQ of discrepancies.Ensure products are correctly labeled and identified for proper storing and use.Distribute the items received to the person or department for which the item was ordered.Daily shipments must be picked, counts verified, pallets wrapped or stacked neatly for pick-ups, marked accordingly to customer, transportation and location of shipment.Load finished goods onto trailer within specified timeframe.Maintain an accurate inventory of finished products and supplies in the warehouse.Safety Operate a Forklift, Pallet Jack, and/or Strait TruckFollow daily production schedule and achieve specified goals.Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) training, along with company pre-requisite programs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP s), and Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP s).Cleaning and maintaining warehouse floor and facilities as needed. Performs other duties and responsibilities as necessary.Following set company and OSHA safety rules, regulations, and guidelines at all times.QualificationsRequired Education: High School Diploma or GED, preferred.Preferred:       1-3 Months related manufacturing or food experience, preferred.Knowledge of warehouse and lift trucks experience.Basic knowledge of supply chain, purchasing, materials, and/or Manufacturing.Knowledge of SAP.REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE and ABILITIES:Excellent attendance and dependability.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Attention to detailWork well with othersWorking knowledge of computers and basic knowledge of Microsoft OfficeExcellent verbal communication skills; must work effectively with others.Additional InformationPHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to be successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and talk or hear.  The employee is occasionally required to sit, and reach with hands and arms.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.WORK ENVIRONMENT:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
