The supervisor will manage and supervisecrews and teams that receive, dry, store, and distribute grains.The salary range for this position is $63,000 - $95,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications with an annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).In addition to the base salary, Perdue offers a competitive benefits package, including medical/Rx, 401(k) with employer match after 1 year, critical illness, accident insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, optional group life insurance, short-term and long-term disability protection, flexible spending accounts and paid time off.Principal and Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesLeads and directs the activities of facility associates that receive, dry, store, and distribute grainProvides a safe working environment per federal, state, and local regulations along with agribusiness requirementsEnsures service and equity of grades is provided to both internal and external customersEnsures the condition of grain is maintained and/or improved while in storageCoordinates with grain merchandising ensuring positive customer relationships and effective planning to provide for timely and efficient cost movement of grainEnsures routine and preventative maintenance is performed on all receiving and storage equipment to maximize availability and longevityIdentifies opportunities, synergies, and improvements to increase facility operating effectiveness and reduce operating costs including the development of capital plans and execution of individual projects according to plansProvides job-specific training, safety, and environmental training to ensure associates understand and are fully engaged in the production, safety and environmental processes that are required to meet operational and customer requirementMinimum EducationHigh School Diploma OR GEDrequiredBachelors degree in Agriculture, Logistics, Business or a related discipline ispreferred not requiredExperience Requirements1-3years of previous supervisory experienceBasic knowledge of software applicationsKnowledge of federal, state, local and OSHA regulations. Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skillsExperience PreferredPrevious grain handling experienceKnowledge of grain receiving and storage technologiesUnderstanding of commodity marketsEnvironmental Factors and Physical RequirementsAble to move freely throughout the agribusiness facilities including climbing vertical heights (0 -150'), carrying tools and equipment (0-50 lbs.), exposure temperatures (0-100) degrees Fahrenheit, humidity (0-100%), noise (50db to 100db) and chemicals (MSDS sheets available).
Must be able to wear protective equipment to include self-contained breathing apparatus.
