The Assistant General Manager Role at Snooze

As second in command in the Front of House(FOH), the Assistant General Manager (AGM) plays a key role in ensuring thatSnooze culture shines bright in all aspects of the business. You must holdvital our beliefs in Craveable food and beverage, fun ambiance and exceptionalservice. The AGM controls daily and weekly operations by overseeing andcoordinating the planning, organization, training and leadership necessary toachieve our objectives. Despite core focuses being in the FOH, the AGM isresponsible for providing leadership and culinary expertise within all restaurantoperations goals. These goals range from sales, operational costs, Snoozerretention, food and beverage quality, cleanliness and sanitation,sustainability and most importantly, guest service and satisfaction.

The Position Specifics

  • Completely understandall Snooze policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines andexpectations.
  • Ensure that allGuests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly, courteous andexceptional service.
  • Be a role model,facilitator, and able Snoozer in nearly all hourly positions in the Heart ofHouse (Kitchen) and Front of House roles.
  • Monitor andevaluate food and beverage quality to ensure that all items meet Snooze'sstandards for taste, presentation, and temperature before they are served toguests.
  • Achieve Snoozeobjectives in sales, service, safety and sanitation, facility maintenance andfood and beverage quality by effectively training Snoozers and providing apositive, productive working environment.
  • Control cash andother receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures inaccordance with Snooze policies and procedures.
  • Assist the management team in makingemployment and termination decisions including interviewing, hiring, training,evaluating, reviewing, and coaching Snoozers as appropriate.
  • Continually strive todevelop all hourly Snoozers in managerial and professional skills, buildingSnoozes future leadership.
  • Assist the General Manager and Head Chefin preparing all required paperwork, including inventory, par sheets, ordering,forms, reports, performancereviews and schedules.
  • Be prepared tocontrol and monitor the purchasing, receiving, inventory, and cost managementof all food and beverage products.
  • Control labor cost by assisting inscheduling based upon forecasted sales, positions needed, and proper timemanagement.
  • Be knowledgeable ofrestaurant policies regarding personnel and administer prompt, fair andconsistent corrective action for any and all violations of Snooze policies,rules and procedures.
  • Fully understand andcomply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertainto health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees and Guests.
  • Facilitate the flow of service from thekitchen to the Front of House with the capability of running the Expo window whileadhering to Snooze ticket time standards.
  • Support with opening and closingprocedures of the Front of House and Heart of House (Kitchen) followingSnoozes Open to Close guidelines.
  • Identify and recruit outstanding talentby conducting effective and fair interviews to elevate and build Snoozes teamof hourly talent.
  • Help to create a fun,safe and rewarding work environment for all Snoozers.

  • Must be 21 years of age and authorizedto work in the United States
  • Have knowledge offood, beverage, and service, generally involving 2+ years of restaurant-related experience in an hourly or managerial position.
  • Possess excellentbasic math skills and can operate a cash register and Point of Sale system.Must also be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) ofthe restaurants trading area.
  • Be able to work in astanding position for long periods (up to 10 hours) and be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift a maximumof 50 pounds.
  • Must have the staminato work 45 to 55 hours per week.
