Reporting to NA Trade Compliance & International Logistics Manager, the Int'l Logistics Specialist I will support logistics functions and trade compliance activities within the NA Human Nutrition Supply Chain Team. As part of the Supply Chain team, this position is responsible for processing incoming shipment information from suppliers to provide timely and accurate internal visibility to shipments. This position will be responsible for aspects related to importing and exporting materials including the coordination of imports and exports with a heavy emphasis on compliance and process improvement.KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:Analytical ThinkingTeam PlayerDetail OrientationImpact & InfluenceAchievement OrientationInformation SeekingBusiness SavvyCommunicator/FacilitatorDESCRIPTION OF WORK PERFORMEDVerify shipment information for accuracy and enter details within internal systems.Communicate shipment status to internal teams to ensure timely deliveries.Review import documentation for accuracy and completeness in comparison to purchase contract.Support the central Import email in-boxes and process incoming emails from suppliers, brokers, forwarders, internal and external customers.Issue required documentation to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.Oversee all international logistics, imports & exports. Including the coordination, tracking, and record movement of goods from point of origin to delivery.Support filing of ISF (Importer Security Filing) timely and accurately with US Customs.Support the scanning of documents into the system so they are available to internal users and to support shipment management.Communicate with suppliers to obtain needed or missing data for shipments.Support the process of incoming documents received to support the timely payment to suppliers, ensuring delays do not result in additional charges.Support import department management in reporting and projects as identified and requested.Monitor assigned workflows to ensure they are done timely and thoroughly.Provide guidance and best practices for int'l shipping.Process freight and other invoices as needed.Publish and maintain key performance indicators relating to trade activities.Collaborate with domestics logistics team on inland transportation.Ensures the most cost efficient transportation and logistics, including discussions or collaborating with other logistics areas within ADM network.Portrays a positive image of the company and self when interacting with customers & colleagues..Is willing to work outside normal business hours including weekends based on business need.Able to travel domestically & internationally.Perform other duties as required.KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred1+ years' experience in Supply Chain & Logistics; international experience preferred.Trade compliance experience (import/export knowledge)Preferred experience and/or training in Incoterms 2020Strong attention to detail with high degree of accuracyProven Leadership and Communication skills.Highly organized with ability to work independently.Experience reading and interpreting international logistics and purchasing contracts.Computer skills (database, spreadsheets, processing software) and Math skillsSelf- motivated commitment to continuous improvementAbility to excel within high-risk and fast paced work environmentProven ability to assess risk and exercise sound judgment in making decisionsUnderstanding of domestic and international tradeTeam driven mentalityIndividual must be committed to corporate ethics policies & safety programsExcited about this role but don't meet every requirement listed?
