Lead Product Owner We are seeking a Lead Product Owner responsible for guiding the development and delivery of products, ensuring alignment with business goals and stakeholder needs. This role requires a blend of strategic vision, technical expertise, and strong communication skills to effectively lead product development and ensure successful delivery. Location: Newark, NJ You must be legally authorized to work in USA without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future. Responsibilities · Lead team scrums to define product vision, roadmap, and growth opportunities, and communicate with stakeholders throughout the project. · Collaborate with internal and external contacts to analyze needs and align product roadmap to strategic goals. · Work closely with product managers and business teams to create and maintain product backlog according to business value or ROI. · Remain up to date on trends and best practices for agile project management. · Plan and prioritize product development and product feature backlog. · Develop detailed product feature specifications and ensure they’re clearly understood by relevant teams. · Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics, and themes to ensure work aligns with product strategy. · Mitigate roadblocks to achieve sprint/release goals. · Lead the product-release plans and set expectations for delivery of new functionalities. · Serve as product ambassador internally and externally, sharing knowledge and answering questions. Qualifications · Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent · Product owner certifications like CSPO or SAFE POPM · 8 years Digital product management experience for mobile apps · 5 years Ability to mange backlog and use business value-based prioritization · 5 years of Hands on experience with JIRA This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
