As an Enterprise Payments Product Associate here at Citizens, you’ll be part of a diverse and evolving Product team driving payments innovation across the enterprise.
In this role you’ll be interfacing with external vendors, internal colleagues, and customers on a regular basis to support our Consumer Payment products. Another significant responsibility will be project management, helping deliver enhancements following Agile methodology and utilizing Jira software. New product features can be based both on in-house development and through implementing vendor solutions.
As this is a fast growing and evolving team, a desire and ability to be versatile and pivot frequently is important.

Vendor Strategy, Management, and Support (75% of time)
- Vendor strategy and support – Work with both new and existing vendors to maintain exceptional products for our customers.
- Day to day interaction with management and vendors
- Understand new product releases from vendors, how they affect our current or upcoming customer experience, and sharing that information out with EO’s and other key stakeholders
- Vendor data analysis, to understand transactions, volumes, fraud rates, and other data around vendor-based solutions
- Vendor financial analysis, to understand costs and other financial implications of our vendor-based solutions
- Support and drive the current and future technical strategy of our existing and prospective new vendors; analyzing if there are other or better options, and working closely with technology teams on migration plans or other options for maximizing our customer experience and minimizing our vendor costs
- Support colleagues with trainings, educational content, product questions, customer issues, etc., especially as it relates to our vendor capabilities
Consumer Payments Program Management and Pod-Support (25% of time)
- Work with product, business stakeholders, or other sources to identify and define client needs and emerging trends.
- Help with managing the development and maintenance of competitive analysis and market research for competitive offerings.
- Conduct research on product enhancements and new product offerings. Initiate product development cycle for agreed upon development initiatives.
- Comfort with data analytics and the ability to source and organize data in an executive format.
- Continuously learn about technology and business changes and ensure appropriate steps are taken to meet requirements.
- Agile Methodologies – Using agile methodologies, apply appropriate techniques to facilitate innovation and execution. Apply and interpret metrics to measure team progress and effectiveness.
- Requirements Analysis - Supervises the advanced use of requirements analysis tools and services, including prototyping and use cases. Produces detailed functional and information requirements models and documentation. Trains others on requirements work and quality reviews.
- Monthly support on team reports including monthly and quarterly business reports, Town budgeting support, and other ad hoc reporting requests as needed
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years’ experience in Banking or Fintech, Payments experience preferred.
- Skilled at drafting executive presentations and business cases.
- Experience working with and managing external vendor partners
- Experience building financial and business cases, in partnership with Finance teams
- Experience building technology plans, in partnership with Technology teams
- Experience with Scrum at Scale and Jira software is a plus.
- Comfortable with Excel for reporting and data analytics.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Hours & Work Schedule
- Hours per Week: 40
- Work Schedule: M-F 8-5 Hybrid Schedule in office in Johnston RI or Westwood MA3 days and 2 days remote
