We want your knowledge and expertiseJob Summary and QualificationsAs the Respiratory Therapy Supervisor, you will be responsible for directing the day-to-day clinical activities of the Service. You will also be subject to assuming general floor coverage as required.You will administer Oxygen Therapy and Aerosol Therapy via the various devices available on a daily basisYou will administer Airway Pressure Therapy on a weekly basisYou will instruct patient and setup Incentive Breathing Device on a daily basisYou will perform Chest Percussion and Postural Drainage by hand manipulation or mechanical percussor on a daily basisYou will document all rounds and complete documentation and related charges in Meditech in a thorough and expeditious manner on a daily basisYou will develop departmental work schedules assuring minimal coverage guidelines are met on a monthly basisJob QualificationsExperienceFive years of clinical experience in Acute Care settingEducationAssociate Degree from accredited Respiratory Care Program or equivalentLicenses and CertificationsRegistered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license by the Texas Medical BoardBasic Life Support (BLS) certification as per St. David’s HealthCare policyAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification as per St. David’s HealthCare policy – preferredPediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 90 days of hire per St. David’s HealthCare policySt. David's South Austin Medical Center, which is part of St. David's HealthCare.
