An international agricultural products and services company, we handle agricultural commodities and have a diverse portfolio of products and businesses.SummaryThe Project Lead - App Systems will oversee IT and business projects for the Perdue AgriBusiness (PAB) division from start to finish. This position manages and coordinates all phases of a project, including project formation, requirements definition, software selection, development, testing, implementation, and post-implementation support. As a leader, you will be responsible for coordination, communication, and change management with stakeholders at all levels. Will be required to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Maintains and facilitates the use of project management best practices for the PAB IT team.The salary range for this position is $97,000 - $145,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications with an annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).In addition to the base salary, Perdue offers a competitive benefits package, including medical/Rx, 401(k) with employer match after 1 year, critical illness, accident insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, optional group life insurance, short-term and long-term disability protection, flexible spending accounts and paid time off.Principal and Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssist business leaders in building strong business cases to support assigned initiativesLeads a team that may be comprised of business associates, technical staff, and consultants to develop effective, efficient solutions that meet the requirements of the business, utilizing project management skillsMaximizes the use of available technology to enhance and improve business processesWorks with IT Director to implement and facilitate project management best practices for the PAB IT team. This includes effective use of PM software, stage-gate process, project prioritization, etc.Defines project resource requirements and secures resources. Defines project time-lines and uses appropriate tools for project scheduling and trackingAssists IT Director to recruit and develop a team to provide the skills needed to support all initiativeBuilds effective working relationships within Application Systems, other IT areas, consulting teams, and the business communityMinimum Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree (Business or Computer related majors) AND 8 - 10 years of experience with project management, business process reengineering, and translating business requirements to technical solutionsPrevious experience managing multiple large projects with full-cycle implementations in a senior-level roleExpert knowledge of both waterfall and agile methodologiesStrong blend of business technology skills with a detailed understanding of common business processesPrior use of Jira and Clarizen project management software is preferredCPM or PMP certification is a plusPrevious AgriBusiness industry experience is preferredExperience PreferredEnvironmental Factors and Physical RequirementsPosition is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildingsMay need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to anotherMay need to access files, supplies, and equipmentWork activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environmentPerdue Farms, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
