Summary:

The Lead Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing new and existing systems and technologies. This role involves providing IT support, mentoring junior engineers, and assisting with project planning and management.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of .NET applications and solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for internal systems.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to architect solutions for incidents and projects.
  • Facilitate meetings to gather and clarify business requirements.
  • Provide IT expertise for ongoing process improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal IT teams to design and implement technical solutions.
  • Participate in on-call rotations for support tasks.
  • Lead code reviews and ensure adherence to development best practices.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and gather requirements for projects.

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of relevant IT experience.
  • Strong coding experience with VB.NET, C#.NET, SQL, and Python.
  • Familiarity with Windows Forms and Microsoft Access databases.
  • Proficiency with Git or other code repositories.
  • Demonstrated ability in systems analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
  • Comfort working in a team-oriented environment and engaging with end users and business leaders.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI, Crystal Reports, or Dataiku.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure.
  • Experience with PowerApps or other low-code platforms.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific solutions is a plus.
