Primary Responsibility:
The Engineering & Maintenance Manager 2 (EMM-2) manages the daily maintenance activities across multiple warehouses and/or at a single larger warehouse with greater complexities. Typically, these warehouses are composed of a 400,000 square feet or larger footprint, a material handling fleet of 50 or more assets and may include other operational activities/equipment for repacking, E-Commerce or automation as examples. This position maintains safe, compliant, reliable and functional facilities by directing installation, maintenance and repair of machines, tools, equipment, and utility systems for refrigerated warehouses.
What You'll Do: o
Directs and assigns work; sets performance objectives and monitors the performance of all Engineering & Maintenance (E&M) associates. o
Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual maintenance budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; and initiating corrective actions. o
Supports operations productivity by determining work priorities and scheduling repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment. o
Designs, implements, and modifies preventive maintenance programs by reviewing production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics, inspecting operating machines, equipment, and systems for conformance with operational standards. o
Ensures compliance with all OSHA regulations and PSM requirements. o
Ensures compliance with mechanical, electrical and all other municipal and state codes. o
Protects employees and visitors by maintaining a safe and clean working environment. o
Ensures equipment reliability by maintaining & analyzing "Maintenance One Pager Reports" and initiating action plans to drive improvement.
o
Ensures material handling equipment is clean, safe, fully operational and in good repair. o
Creates and executes a comprehensive energy plan, which includes: Energy consumption, defined rate goals, strategies, action plans, conservation plans and utilization effectiveness.
o
Maintain a working knowledge of new technologies, which may improve operations and develops recommendations accordingly. o
Maintain a working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner. o
Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local environment, health, safety and HR regulations/procedures along with ensuring that all tasks are carried out in a safe and healthful manner with no adverse impact upon the environment. o
Works with General Manager/s to develop annual budgets o
Works with General Manager/s to ensure Departmental financial goals are met. o
Works with General Manager/s to Develop Capital Expense budgets and provide long term planning for facility and equipment improvements. o
Executes capital projects to completion. Including obtaining bids, creating and submitting capital requests, and managing contractors/vendors throughout the process.
o
Develops strong technical teams through the development and execution of Individual Development Plans (IDP's) for all Engineering & Maintenance associates. o
Perform other duties as assigned. What Experience and Education You Need : o
High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. o
Associates Degree or Higher relevant to facility maintenance preferred. o
CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional) or similar certification preferred. o
Completion of all eight (8) RETA courses preferred. o
RETA CARO or CIRO or equivalent preferred. o
Experience working 5-7+ years in maintenance with at least 3+ years' directly managing or supervising the work of others. What Could Set You Apart : o

Fully competent to a high degree in mechanical knowledge and basic electrical concepts. o
Ability to work with hands in mechanically oriented situations. o
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, as well as interpret pencil sketches and diagrams. o
Ability to supervise and inspect work performed by all levels of maintenance associates. o
Must be able to work flexible shifts, if required, including being on call as needed.
o
Ability to work overtime. o
Frequently works overtime, evenings, or weekends in order to complete work or to attend meetings.
o
Must be willing to travel up to 5-10% for development, training and other requests as needed. o
Knowledge of ISO (International Standards Organization). o
Knowledge of Oracle CMMS platforms preferred. o
Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel. o
Material Handling Equipment (Forklift) knowledge and certification is preferred.Physical Requirements: o

Requires several hours per day of sitting, getting up and down from chairs, and reaching, or bending o
Requires manual dexterity with normal hand and finger movements for typical office work

May required working in temperatures at or below freezing o
May carry loads related to travel and occasionally lifts, carries, positions, or moves objects weighing up to 20 pounds o
