Are you ready to join a team that dreams as big as you do?ROLE SUMMARY:The Safety Manager is critical role that truly drives Anheuser-Busch's commitment to safety and excellence. As the subject matter expert for your branch, they will be at the heart of fostering a culture of safety that resonates throughout the company. Each day, they have the incredible opportunity to inspire, coach, mentor, and train our employees while guiding them toward achieving exceptional standards in Environmental, Health, and Safety Compliance. To accomplish this, they will use analytical skills in prevention and mitigation techniques to reduce the risk. Their day-to-day will be a dynamic blend of responsibilities. They will act as a liaison for the branch where they will communicate Environmental, Health, and Safety topics to the local management team during meetings and employee huddles, as well as escalate communication on Environmental, Health, and Safety issues for the branch that may include: incident management, injuries, vehicle/ property incident, or regulatory agency's inspections/fines.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Ensure ownership and integration to drive sustainable EHS management systemsProvide guidance to leadership team regarding the Safety strategic objectives and regulatory compliance issuesDevelopment of Health & Safety improvement initiatives and the daily management of on-going operationsOwner of DPO Excellence Program Safety Pillar for branch locationResponsible for regulatory and internal management system compliance. Able to represent the facility to external regulatory agenciesConduct safety risk management, DOT, security and environmental training and education including compliance with federal and state occupational safety and health administration, environmental protection standards, federal motor carrier safety regulations/department of transportation regulations, security policies and Anheuser-Busch and wholesale operations division policyDirect activities to conduct investigations, identify root cause and recommend corrective measures for all Safety incidentsOversee workers compensation, auto and general liability risk exposure, following the standards set forth in the third party administrator instructions manualAttend worker's compensation hearings, small claims court proceedings, litigation trials, and interrogatories as may be requiredPerform safety, insurance, environmental, DOT, security and environmental audits and inspections to comply with all current federal, state, county and city requirements as well as Anheuser-Busch and wholesale operations division requirementsInvestigate all auto accidents, general liability claims, and other actions filed against the branchReview, compile and report safety, DOT security and environmental statistics as required by zone, local, state and federal agenciesTrack, monitor and deliver training, including behavioral leadership trainingEnsure compliance with department of transportation requirementsObtain certificates of insuranceJOB QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's Degree in a safety-related fieldAbility to work all shifts and provide ‘on-call’ coverage outside work hours and some weekends and holidays5 years of risk management, environmental affairs and/or supervisory experienceKnowledge of occupational safety and health administration standards as well as transportation regulations and related risk management standardsWorking knowledge of insurance, including property, workers compensation, general liability and auto liabilityStrong interpersonal and communication skills, strong leadership skills, a comfort level with change, and the ability to lead changeWorking knowledge of government regulations (i.e., OSHA CUPA, EPA, etc.)DPO/VPO/LCP KnowledgeCompliance and Safety ExperienceAbility to lead teams and facilitate effective meetingsWorkers Compensation Claim Management – ExperienceWHY ANHEUSER-BUSCH:Anheuser-Busch has always dreamed big.
