ask your Recruiter for detailsJob DescriptionThe Supervisor - Merchandiser is responsible for supervising of the Merchandisers.What your day will look like:Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the UNITED policies and applicable lawsInterview, hire, and train associatesPlan, assign, and direct workAppraise performanceAddress complaints and resolve problemsBuilds positive associate moraleTracks, measures and analyzes execution of Picture of Success (PicOs) across each area of responsibility using the internal execution trackers availableSupervises merchandisers and other associatesWorks weekend supervisor duty on a rotating scheduleEnsures orders are accurate and that product returned to Company facility is properly processedDocuments performance and conducts performance management meetings for SHINE assessments and disciplinary actionCompletes accident reports and conducts accident investigations for merchandisers and other associatesProvides merchandising skills and safety trainingRides with associates new to the job and performs merchandising functions alongside new associates to train on Company merchandising expectationsEvaluates associates progress during the new hire training processBacks up and assists merchandisers on routes; performs merchandising duties and tasks as neededReviews orders in computer against product loaded in truckAccurately accounts for all monies, invoices, products, and inventoryMaintains good customer relations with store representativesAddresses customer requests and complaintsPerforms appropriate duties as assigned by managementWhat you need to succeed:Minimum age 18 years oldValid driver s license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policyPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policiesRegular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the jobAbility to read, write and speak EnglishAbility to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelinesAbility to maintain safety and security of Company assetsAbility to utilize all Company provided resources and technologyStrong leadership and organizational skillsProven ability to coach and manage needs and concerns of multiple associatesRepeated kneeling, squatting and overhead reachRepeatedly lift, carry, push and pull up to 50lbs.Frequent standing, walking, and exposure to weatherHigh school diploma or general education degree; or 2 to 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memosAbility to write simple correspondence to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other associates of the organizationAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimalsAbility to problem solveAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formGood working knowledge of computersPrior supervisory experience preferredPhysical RequirementsCCBCU is an Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled.
