Assembler II, Light Cables, 2nd

Join our team at KARL STORZ U.S. and play a critical role in assembling high-quality endoscope imaging systems. While adhering to prescribed standards, you will be working with intricate optical and mechanical components to ensure precision and performance.
What you'll be doing:
- Assemble and disassemble miniature precision medical products, following assembly drawings and procedures.
- Operate machinery and work with hand tools, adhesives, solvents, microscopes, and measurement devices (calipers).
- Meet takt time and quality standards while producing sub-assemblies for endoscopes.
- Perform cleaning, inspection, and loading/unloading of components and ovens.
- Cross-train in other assembly areas and actively participate in training programs.
- Maintain production records and communicate with management about work status and improvement suggestions.
- Follow all environmental, safety, and quality standards in line with FDA and ISO requirements.
What you'll need to be considered:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience assembling miniature precision medical products preferred.
- Proficiency in assembly procedures, operating machinery, and using hand/power tools.
- Good manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, and keen attention to detail.
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with coworkers.
- Strong computer skills.
- Ability to work with a microscope for extended periods.
- Climb stairs and wear gloves or finger cots as required.
- Safely handle chemicals, solvents, and adhesives.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
